While the Others Were on Camp

While Year 2 were off at Narnu farm, Year 3 had some fun of their own back at school.

One of the projects we worked on was a picture of a screaming boy. We were inspired to do this after reading a book called Monster Mama by Liz Rosenberg.

You can have the book read to you here:

The image we used as our inspiration is mixed in with our ones. We bet you can't you tell which one it is!

The year 2s liked our paintings SO much that they decided they wanted to have a go at them while the year 3s were on camp.

The other project we worked on were some clay animations. We had lots of fun making them and learnt a lot about animation in the process. We hope you enjoy them.

Narnu Farm

Year 2 went to Narnu farm for 2 days. They participated in a range of activities including feeding baby animals, making butter, hand ploughing and of course a favourite of many horse riding. It was difficult to get photos of people in our class as everyone was off in their own groups. Here are a few I have managed to get.

Student Led Conferences

It was fantastic to see so many of you at the Student Led Conferences and able to share in what the children in Room 1 have been doing. The students were responsible for leading the conference and demonstrating their understanding of various concepts in a variety of learning situations.
