Here are a sample of student writing. They are not the most recent the students have done but I have been meaning to put them up for a long time. Apologies to those who have not got their writing up but I could not locate their writing books!

On the weekend my mum and dad, my sister and grandma and grandpa and I we went to Queen Elizabeth Bike Park.

First we had chips then we went on the trampoline.

Next we played hide and seek.

The War

Once upon a time lived a man named Jeff. He had a friend named Indie. One day they got called for a job at the kingdom. It was very busy but they finally got there. There were a lot of people there. They were very scared.

Two years later. One day a bad guy attacked. The king got killed but Jeff and Indie did not get killed. Jeff was king and Indie was second in command.

Once again bad guys attacked BANG! BOOM! Arrrrr! Indie stabbed a goblin. A BIIIIGGGG rat jumped on Jeff. Jeff stabbed it in the heart. The bad king got killed. One of the bad guys yelled RUN! They never got bothered again.

The Moon Dog

Once upon a time there was a dog called Benny. He went to the moon and he was the first dog to go on the moon. He lived in a rocket. His tail was driving the rocket. He was driving the rocket and the engine wasn’t working and Benny called for help. He barked out help and another rocket heard Benny and the other rocket saved Benny

One day there lived a dog called Bella. Bella had one friend. She was a dog too. Her name was Tina. One day when Bella went for a walk with her mum she saw Tina and said to herself there’s Tina. Bella asked her mum if she could have a play with Tina. Her mum said “yes”. “Yay” said Bella. “Come on” said Bella and Tina came.

The Mutant Dog

One day there was a peaceful town and there was a boy called Jeff. He lived in a small house. One day a dog came over to Jeff’s house. Jeff had made a potion out the front of the house and the dog knocked it over and it went all over him.

The dog grew bigger and bigger until it was as big as the house. The dog was a mutant dog. It destroyed Jeff’s house then another and another until all of the houses were gone. All the people ran away but Jeff found a sword under one of the pieces of the bed and he got the sword and stabbed the mutant dog.

Once there was a boy named Ryder. He lived in a very small cottage. It was near the beach. He liked to surf and play soccer. One day he was playing soccer he got tripped over. "Ouch" Ryder said when he hit the ground.
But he got up again. When the game ended the score was 4-2 their way! That was a good game but it hurt when he got tripped over but I liked it all together.

The Fast Pig

Once Upon a time there was a pig called David. David had a friend called Matty. David and Matty lived together in a small town.

One cloudy day Matty and David were walking along the path when a wolf was invading their town.

Luckily they found some weapons in their shed so David and Matty went and killed the wolf and they lived happily ever after.

The Potato Kingdom

Once upon a time there lived two boys. Their names were Eli and Indie. They lived near a potato kingdom but for some reason they’d heard of it but they hadn’t been there. So they set off for a big adventure.

When they got there one of the potatoes said “Hey only potatoes past this point” and before they could say anything the potato put them straight into a pot. In the pot they found a caterpillar. The caterpillar ate the pot and Eli and Indie managed to escape the pot.

They had the best feast ever.

Cats Are The Best Pets

I think that cats and kittens are the best pets ever.

Firstly cats are cute and cuddly and they are playful and when they’re playful they will play string. Secondly cats only meow and purr but dogs bark and meowing is not that loud but barking is.

Lastly cats they follow you around and when you call them they will come to you.

I strongly believe that cats are the best pets and that everyone should have one as a pet.

Eve

I think that we should make more vets because most people don’t have one near enough and pets can be very sick.

Pets have the right to go to a near and healthy vet as we get the right to go to a near and healthy doctor.

Vets are a good help for pets and animals because they make the pet or animal healthy again and can make the pet nice.

Vets are a good place to make an animal feel safe and healthy but sometimes vets may have to put the animal down.

I strongly believe that a vet is a good an healthy place to get fixed.

All children should not play soccer because it would be boring to play the same game everyday.

First not all people like soccer.

Second some children can not run.

Finally some children have disabilities which might mean they can not see, move, hear or understand words of instructions.

All children should have the right to choose what sport they would like to play, not just soccer.

The Huge Adventure

One day there was a random guy. I don’t know who that person is, but I do know that he lived in a house, a very random house because he just chose his home randomly. His house looks like a lot like a mansion.

So one day he went out for a walk. He never knew where he was really walking because something came of pocket and started messing u the day. It was also really random, just like him. The random thing was another random person. He may look normal but he’s not. He just dragged him into the bin and a very, very, very long pipe got him into a spooky graveyard. But the other random guy was magic. He blasted him into the sky.

And he smashed a hole in his own random house and started eating his own home made of metal. The random guy was very tired, so he fell asleep before his head hit the pillow. So since that the other random guy was in his pocket, the other random guy zipped open his pocket and activated the random guy’s machine. It started printing pieces of paper saying ADVENTURE TIME! So the other random guy told the random that you should go outside.

The random guy said “OK”

My Weekend

On the weekend I went to Bordertown and my cousin’s came over for a bonfire.

We ate marshmallows, watched a movie called Mama Mia and stayed up until 11 O’Clock and we played pool.

The next day I woke up and ate breakfast. After that I rode the motorbike and went home.

Barry the Gold Knight – The Magic Story

Once upon a time there was a boy named Barry. He was walking through the forest. He saw a house. It wasn’t any house. A diamond house. It glittered though the forest. He was surprised that it was his house. He had golden armour on. Even his sword. He liked mining diamonds and gold.

One day in the forest while he was walking he saw a princess and a dragon breathing fire at her. He didn’t care he just kept mining for diamonds and gold.

Later on he started thinking if he should have helped the princess so he chucked the diamonds and gold so far it landed in his chimney and he got his diamond control racing car and it was really small. “Oh!” he said when he got on the he drove back to the kingdom other wise castle then other night was ill were there he got killed he thought I don’t want to die she drove back home. The end.

My Weekend Recount

On Friday night my mum, dad brother and I went out for dinner. After dinner we all went to the airport to pick up our new family member. It was a puppy. On the way home we had to go to the shops to buy some mince meat for the puppy.. While Mum was in the shops we opened the cage and patted the puppy.

First we got home after a couple of minutes and I set up a blow up bed and I put the bed next to the puppy’s bed.

On the weekend I fell off my bike and hurt my hand.

Then on Monday I had lunch. It was yummy. So yummy. So so so so Yummy. Too yummy.

On Sunday I went to my friend’s party. It was fun.

Once upon a time there lived an ugly face. His name was Mr Bob. Bob was 30cm tall and 30cm long. Bob lived in a small tight house made out of pancakes. Bob was skin colour.

One morning Bob work up and went into the bathroom. He couldn’t believe his eyes he was actually a smelly, old, rotten sandwich. He had to do something otherwise his face would melt. He got in his car and went to the shops. There was only pancakes. Then he spent 5 hours there. Then his face started to melt. Then, just as there was only one dot of his sandwich he saw a face then he put it on and went home.

Then he looked in the mirror and it was back to normal. He lived happily ever after.

The Shoes

I might get new shoes. It will look bright with studs at the bottom of the shoes but the shoes will cover the studs. I love the shoes.

The Dot

Once upon a time there was a boy called pea. Well because he was as small as a pea, well a very small pea. One day he met a dot a very very very small dot nearly as small as a pea so they decided to be friends.

One day there was a BIG storm and it swept dot away AAHGG! said Pea. I must save him but he got swept away too! “Oh No” how will I find him.

After the storm Dot woke up and Pea woke up too but they did not know pea was on top of Dot. “Oh” Dot said. Pea wow how did you get here. The storm swept me here. Wow that’s amazing! Said Pea. They were back together again and they lived together.

On Saturday my mum, dad, Josh and I went to Victor Harbour in the morning to go for a walk and go there for lunch.

First we went for a walk. We went to lots of shops. My favourite shop was the wool shop where there were lots of rugs, wool and olden day things.

Next we went to a restaurant. It looked very old and I had fish and chips. It was nice.

After we asked my mum and dad to go to the lolly shop. They said “yes”. When we got there I bought a toffee and a Super Sour.

It was a fun and busy day. I enjoyed the sweet shop.

Faith

The Walkers Come Alive

Once upon a time there was a peaceful town and in that town lived a guy named Daryl Dixon with his best friend Mereirl. They lived in a hotel and also lived in the apartment next to each other.

One day there was a weird virus going around that turns people into zombies! After two days there was a heap of zombies. So Daryl  and Mereirl decided  to go look for weapons. They got a backpack each and got loads of food. When they stepped outside there weren’t that many zombies but they could hear the grrrrr. Read the next page for more. The end for now.

Phoenix

On the holidays I went to a birthday. It was at Cirkidz. I went on the tightrope and the tiny bike and the trapeze and fast track.

Me and my dad we went to my swimming lesson after that we went to see the diving competition. Some of my friends were there.

Outside is like a battlefield with bullets coming down all around you.

The rain is like little bombs.

The fog is angry like dark clouds.

The sun shines bright like a night light.

The rain is as clear as glass.

On the strike of midnight on Halloween I was getting ready to go trick or treating in my cat costume but when I went to my cupboard to get my shoes they were not there but what was there was some black shoes and they looked magical. I put them on and went outside.  I felt like I was flying and when I looked down I was flying and when I was flying I felt like I was changing and when I finally came back down I looked at someone. They were much bigger than me and then I looked at myself and SCREAMED!! Aaaaahhhhhh I was a real cat and the shoes had disappeared.

That night I went to sleep on a branch. It was surprisingly comfy.

When I woke up I did not feel like I was on a branch and when I looked down I was not on a branch at all. I was on my bed and on my bed side table there was a bag of lollies.

We were under water. The shark grabbed the key. Luckily the shark shrunk. We got the key. We grew. We went back to shore. We got back home. I put the key under my bed.
