Looking at our Impact on the Environment

As a class, we looked at how our lunchboxes affect the environment. We  tipped out our lunch boxes and discussed the different ways we can bring our lunch to school


We talked about putting food in containers rather than wrapping them up and also reusing zip-lock bags. 'Nude' foods are great and also less processed and often more healthy. We also found out that paper bags are better than plastic bags as they can be recycled.


We spoke about how little packets of chips, biscuits and things can often be bought in bigger packages which are 1) cheaper and 2) use less packaging. 


 We collected all our rubbish from the whole day and we were very pleased that we had such a small amount of rubbish for 27 people. This is what we had as a whole class for the entire day:
